2. Mount Rainier – This is the tallest mountain in the state of Washington. It is an active stratovolcano and is the most glaciated peak in the contiguous U.S. It is on the Decade Volcano list, which is a list of the 16 most potentially dangerous volcanoes in the world.

3. Denali (Mount McKinley) – This mountain has the highest peak in North America. It is located in Southern Alaska as the centerpiece of Denali National Park and Preserve.
